Every season hundreds of tonnes of British wool go to waste.

Oradell is a wool outerwear company with a concentrated British supply chain. From sheep to mill to garment, our outerwear creates value in a currently stagnated system.

Precious natural resources go into producing wool that never even enters the supply chain. Wool is a durable, natural, biodegradable material that farmers already grow as a byproduct of wider sheep farming. It will continue to be wasted unless we create a system where every step of the supply chain adequately compensates sheep farmers and wool manufacturers.

Best friends since childhood, we spend our time exploring outdoors or sorting through beautiful wool jackets on the racks of thrift stores. We both moved to the UK from the US for education and were moved by an aspect of British culture that embodies a deep sense of connection to history through landscape. Equally passionate about natural resource management and natural fibres, we were both shocked when, through Camille’s research at the Royal College of Art, we learned about the immense quantity of wool wasted in the UK. With Camille’s experience working on farms and in science communication, and Eliza’s background in economic development and fashion entrepreneurship, we built Oradell over a shared vision to create a new system for fashion that weaves new life into a stagnated industry. Our own heritage is core to Oradell. Our name is shared with Camille’s great-grandmother, and Eliza’s well-dressed grandfather and his hand-me-down Barbour jacket serves as the inspiration behind our first product.
